Box Office Review: Gentleman, Collections Below ₹10 Crore In The First Two Days


After hearing about the pairing of the two dashing young stars together, the fans got very excited to see the pair of Sidharth Malhotra and Jaqueline Fernandez together on the screen. Nirmal Singh Lotus Green says that after seeing their sizzling chemistry in the songs, the fans seemed to wait eagerly for their film, but the opening record clearly does not support the fact that there was so much abuzz about the movie. The box office collection was not as promising as the viewers or the producers would have expected. According to the report, the film has earned ₹ 7.75 crores in the first two days of its release.  

Nirmal Singh Lotus Green says that the storyline of the movie does not seem very interesting, the story is about a guy who dreams of settling down with his girlfriend Kavya, who on the other hand is looking for someone who is more adventurous and outgoing. The only twist you get to see in the plot is when a mistaken identity creates havoc in their lives.The film is competing against Naseeruddin Shah’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and it having a tough time doing that. 

Nirmal Singh Lotus Green says that the action- comedy film has been written and directed by Raj and D.K. who very promisingly at an interview said that there are scenes in the movie that would remind the viewers of the epic pair of Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia and their chemistry in ‘Bobby.’The film has been made in the budget of ₹ 50 crores and has still not been able to recover its production cost.

Nirmal Singh Lotus Green says that with all the elements needed for the film to be labeled a true- blue bollywood film, the movie has the hotness quotient, perfect -comic timing, steamy scenes between the actors and a well-coordinated action sequence.  Despite having such advantages the film is not able to make a mark on the screens.

The actors in an interview had said that the audience has become more accepting and also demanding in the case of scripts. This gives the actors the motivation to go ahead and attempt something different and with Gentleman they hope that they do meet the expectation of their fans

If the recent traumatic reports are to be believed, Pakistan is building a series of underground tunnels for storing its nuclear weaponry. The work has already started for these tunnels with the diggings near Mianwali visible. The first tunnel is said to be just 350 km away from Amritsar.
