Gulshan Grover Opens Up About How He Shot The Intimate Scenes Of Boom With Katrina Kaif
Gulshan Grover finally reveals about how he shot the romantic
scenes of Boom with Katrina Kaif. While the latter has a great career going
right now, she sure didn’t have a great one in the beginning. Her debut film,
Boom, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Gulshan Grover, was a huge failure at
the box office. But it’s remembered for the intimate scenes between Gulshan
Grover and Katrina Kaif.
According to sources at Nirmal Singh Lotus Green, Gulshan
shared some anecdotes while shooting the romantic scene with the actress.
Sources revealed that Gulshan said that the
scenes between Katrina and him would get really awkward with Amitabh Bachchan
would also be in the frame. Gulshan wanted to get the scene right so he and
Katrina practiced it many times before they gave the shot."
Any intimate shot that is done in front of
audience or with someone in the frame really gets a little tough for the
audience. They need to build in the similar kind of ambience for the scene, but
doing that with people around raises the difficulty for them, especially with
the seniors around. Call it respect or their dedication towards the work, they
need that kind of privacy for their performance.
For any scene the actors spend hours working on
their diction or their expressions, but during an intimate scene they try to
give their best shot as it is. Because we all know, being intimate with
someone, whether onscreen or offscreen is something huge, it’s their job so
they try to do their best in the least number of shots possible.
Coming back to Mr. Grover and Katrina Kaif, the
two shared a sizzling chemistry on-screen, but he was too uncomfortable doing
the steamy scenes in the movie. But his only concern was not that she’s half
his age but also the presence of Amitabh Bachchan on the sets and in the frame.
Sources at Nirmal Singh Lotus Green also add that he found it tough to
shoot the romantic scenes with the actress but the scene turned out to be so
good that it got nearly 30-40 million views online.
