Union- Budget 2017-18: Highways Allocation Steps Up To ₹ 64,000 Lakh Crore
This year’s budget has seen major changes in various sectors be it real estate, education or transport. But a change has been brought in the transport sector. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley recently made an announcement in the Parliament stating their motive of enhancing the budget for the National Highways by 11% in the year 2017-18. While presenting the budget, Jaitley said that the budget for the transportation has now been increased to ₹ 64,000 lakh crore, keeping under consideration the development of national highways. The interesting fact about the budget is that a massive ₹ 2.41 lakh crore has been allotted to the job creation for the youth.
