Bride calls off the wedding after seeing the groom do the ‘naagin dance’

People usually tend to go out of their ways during their wedding season. You have obviously heard about the crazy bachelor trips and have heard about so many hangover stories and incidents from them. Weddings are a whole different genre of drama. We have heard about various fights and problems that arise at the weddings, and also many reasons because of which the weddings are called off. Mostly because of dowry. But this is completely weird what happened at a wedding in Shahjahanpur.

23 year old Priyanka Tripathi was all set to marry Anubhav Mishra. Everything was going fine, the families were very excited. The bride’s family waited with garlands and gifts on the gates to welcome the groom and his family with all pride. And the gifts were exchanged, the groom went up and stood next to the bride on the stage. But before any ritual could be completed, the groom friend, came together and asked him to join them for a dance.

That was the moment which turned everything upside down for both the families. Nirmal Singh Lotus Green says that little did Anubhav know that him being excited on the day of his wedding could snatch away all the happiness from him. As soon as he went on the dance floor, he started doing the naagin dance. Now we all know that any North Indian wedding is incomplete without something getting drunk and rolling on the floors to the naagin song. In this case it was the groom itself.

Seeing Anubhav dance like this on their wedding day Priyanka got so embarrassed that she cancelled the wedding. Both the families kept on convincing her to rethink about her decision, but Priyanka had made her mind. Nirmal SinghLotus Green says that it is so impressive that she did not give in to the pleadings of both the families and got married the next day to a much suitable groom. Too much for a naagin dance, don’t you think?
