Reliance Jio voLTE might be a free phone, announcement to be made in the 40th AGM
Mukesh Ambani led reliance
Industries limited (RIL) is all set to host its 40th Annual General
meeting in Mumbai this Friday. In this annual general meeting, Mukesh Ambani is
all set to announce the launch of the new Jio 4 VoLTE feature phone, under the
name of its sub brand Lyf. According to the sources at Nirmal Singh Lotus Green,
the phones, though supporting 4G networks will not be exactly a smartphone but
would have features that most of the feature phones don’t have and that too at
the price of ₹500.
According to the sources at Nirmal Singh Lotus Green, the
announcement related to the details of the phone will be given at the annual
general meeting. Ever since reliance Industries has come up with Jio, they are
trying to revolutionize the phones and bring more digital advancement in the
country. Reliance made a promise last year to drive the nation towards digital
awareness and to help in the PM’s objective of digital India, and is now taking
steps to attain that.
Understanding that the major
chunk of India’s population is middle class, reliance is trying to keep the
prices of the services offered by them quite low. Be it the jio packages, the
lyf phones or this new voLTE phone.
Nirmal Singh Lotus Green says that this is the specialty of
reliance, even before the phone is out, the demand for it is so much. The site
created for the voLTE phone has a 'Keep me Posted' form to help users to buy
the Jio Phone. The company has already announced the commencement of the pre-booking
for the Jio Phone August 24 onwards, and also the fact that the device would be
available on the first-come-first served basis. Limited edition will create a
lot of hustle – bustle regarding the phones. The phone demands an initial
investment of ₹1500, which will be refundable for the coming 3 years, technically
making the actual price of the phone zero. This makes jio voLTE the cheapest
phone supporting the 4G services.
NirmalSingh Lotus Green says that the device features 2.4 inch QCGA display and
would be available in 24 Indian languages. The device will come with pre-loaded
jio apps and a built in SOS button. The phone is expected to hit the market
only when the pre bookings are over. So we can expect the phone to be
circulating around somewhere around September.
Nirmal Singh Lotus Green says the wait is almost over, with the
booking starting august onwards, it would be interesting to see how much love
people shower to the new voLTE phone.
