PR Agencies Are Being Considered To Show UP As A Tourist Destination - Nirmal Singh Lotus Green
The Uttar Pradesh government will
be hiring a professional PR agency to improve the image of the state and to
advertise selected facets like the birthplace of Krishna, the temples of
Ayodhya, the ghats of Varanasi. This is also being considered to publicize Ardh
Kumbh Mela in 2019 and to broadcast the fact that UP is, in fact, the center of
Buddhism in India.
To reach out to various
international embassies and tourists from all over the world, the PR agency
will be given the responsibility to place advertisements at certain cities and
also in international newspapers and television channels.
Nirmal Singh Lotus Green said that every single advertisement for
television will be shot from scratch and will be of international quality. The whole marketing strategy will
be altered as far as the proposed report by the government is concerned. The PR
agency will be promoting UP as the best and the most preferred destination in
the country – there will be a new logo for the state of Uttar Pradesh which
will be coupled with a ‘catchy tagline’.
Last year, more than 31000
foreign tourists visited UP. As per the plan of the campaign, the agency will
primarily focus on six major circuits and Ardh Kumbh Mela which will be
organized in 2019, last year of Modi’s first stint as the Prime Minister of the
country. Bundelkhand, Eco-Tourism, Varanasi, Ganga, Lord Krishna’s birthplace
and of course, Ramayana will be the major pressing points of the campaign.
Nirmal Singh Lotus Green told us that
Ayodhya, Shringhverpur and Chitrakoot will also be put in with the rest of the
circuits in the campaign.
As per the recent tourism report
released by the government, more than 1.75 crore tourists visited Varanasi, the
Ganga front, and around 6.28 lakh tourists and 23 lakh Indians visited the Buddhist
circuit last year alone. ‘When without
any publicizing techniques so many tourists can come to Uttar Pradesh then
investing in a professional team of advertisements and tv commercials makes
total sense’, said Nirmal Singh
